The S series' sleek, comfortable mahogany bodies, double-locking ZR tremolos, thin & fast maple necks and high-gain IBZ INF pickup combos make these instruments impossible to beat in any genre of music. The S formula calls for heavy mahogany tone without the heavy mahogany weight and Ibanez achieved this by making the S body thin around the edges for comfort and fat around the pickups and bridge for massive tone and sustain.
